Supply and Fit Service

Why does Couture need to know your venue?
To ensure that your Couture Chair Cover fits your venue's chairs beautifully. There are over 100 different designs of stacking banquet or conference chairs and some chair cover companies use a "one size fits all" principle whereas we tailor our chair covers to suit each design. We do this to avoid having the corners of the chair cover back folded inside (round back chair covers on square back chairs) or for the chair covers to drape on the floor causing a hazard, or sit up off the floor showing the chair legs. The pricing isn't affected by the chair design, just the level of fit and therefore the appearance on your big day!.


What are the differences between cheap and quality chair covers?
There are no "fixed standards" in the chair cover hire industry so if you only buy based upon price you should be aware of why some are cheaper than others. The material weight, chair cover design, fit and fabric choice all impact on price, as does the level of service and reliability that the individual companies apply. Of course there are some Companies who supply poor quality products at high prices and others who supply premium quality products at reasonable prices…..ours are the latter!

Yes, we would recommend that you call to arrange a free consultation without obligation, to show you our products. 


How do I order a sample?
Simply contact us by email or phone us with the full “Selection Code” taken from the Design Your Own selection feature, along with your delivery address, we will then contact you via your phone number or email address to arrange payment. Unfortunately we can’t send samples until payment has been received (£12 for a cover and £6 for a sash, fully refundable upon sample return to us).


How do I know if your covers fit the chairs at my venue?
There are many designs of chairs used in the hotel functions rooms and we have covers to suit most. We visit the venue to measure the chair and will have new chair covers made if needs be.


Do you require a Damage Deposit (supply & fit option)?
Yes, we ask for a minimum £50 damage deposit (cheque) which we will not bank and if any items go missing or are returned in a bad and irreparable state they will be charged for, the replacement fee per item are stated on our terms and conditions. If, as is normal, no damage occurs, the cheque is returned to you.


How do I book?
First of all, complete the enquiry for at the end of the “Design Your Own” feature on our website, or phone us directly with your requirements (remembering to quote your “Selection Code”), and we will check availability. If we can accommodate your booking, we'll get back to you right away, and forward you a booking form to complete and return to us with your deposit.  We will provisionally hold the date until your booking form and deposit are received by us, at which point your booking is confirmed.


How can I pay?
We accept payment by direct bank transfer, personal cheque, cash or Paypal.


Do we need to do anything to the covers after they are used?
No, you don't have to do anything- no washing, counting or folding or waiting for couriers to pick up! We do it for you from start to finish.


We don't have our final numbers yet, can we make a booking to secure our date and confirm these later?
Yes, we do not require your final numbers until 2 weeks before your wedding/event date as we understand that numbers can change, but unless we are advised prior to the event, we work to the last figure that you give us. We do not mind amending the final invoice as many times as necessary.


We haven't decided on a colour or theme yet, can we choose the sash colour and venue accessories later?
Yes, we understand most brides start to plan well in advance, and may not have chosen a colour when they book our covers. You can confirm the colour you like much nearer the time if you prefer.  You can even add venue accessories to you total booking at any time up to 2 weeks prior to your event (subject to availability).


What if you do not have the sash colour to match my colour scheme?
If we do not stock the colour that you require we will always try to source a matching or complementary colour from our suppliers at no extra cost. A sample will be provided prior to your booking date for your approval. 


Do you need a booking deposit?
Yes, the deposit confirms us as the provider of products and services on the date agreed, up until this point any booking made is provisional. We have two options regarding deposits (see terms & conditions).


What is the minimum number of chair covers I can hire?
There is no minimum number for Supply & Fit chair covers, although the minimum charge for Supply & Fit is £100.


How far in advance can I book?
You can book up to 2 years in advance to secure our products and services on the date requested. A booking is provisional until a deposit is taken.


Do chair covers need ironing?
We supply chair covers from our range that includes fitting, all chair covers have been cleaned and pressed prior to fitting and steamed at the venue after fitting to eliminate the inevitable carriage creases.


What if I need to cancel or reschedule my event?
Clients can cancel their orders up to 6 weeks before the event. This must be made in writing or by email and we must acknowledge receipt of this. If you need to cancel or reschedule then please let us know as soon as possible.
Do It Yourself Option

How do I know if your covers fit the chairs at my venue?
Lycra chair covers are stretch fit and are generally a "universal" fit. We would always recommend that you order a sample (fully refundable-see terms and conditions) to fit on your venues chairs prior to booking so that you are happy with the way the cover looks and thereby avoid any disappointment on the big day. If you do not take this offer, a sample will be sent out upon booking for you to try out. 


Do we need to do anything to the covers after they are used?
You don't have to do anything other than place the used chair covers in the packaging that the goods arrived in and make sure the boxes are sealed firmly, peel off the delivery address label and place the goods in an accessible area for the courier (see terms and conditions regarding missed collections).


What is the minimum number of chair covers I can hire?
There is no minimum order for DIY chair covers, although the minimum charge for DIY supply is £100.


How much is delivery/pickup?
We charge a flat fee of £50 for up to 120 chair covers.


Can I pick up the covers myself to save on courier charges?
Yes you can. Please call us to arrange a collection time.


How long does it take to set up?
It takes 2 people who have never done this before about an hour and a half to fit 100 chair covers & tie 100 bows. Most venues are happy to put the chair covers on however it is advisable to ask them first.


Do Chair covers need ironing?
Our DIY option Lycra chair covers do not need ironing.


Do I need to pay a damage or loss deposit?
Unfortunately we have to request a deposit against loss or any irreparable damage because of the distances that can be involved. As soon as the chair covers/sashes are checked and counted, (and as long as no items are missing or are returned in a bad or irreparable state) this deposit will be refunded in full. Full replacement cost of £12 will be charged for each chair cover & £6 for each sash lost or damaged (please see terms & conditions page for full details).


What is considered as damage?
Minor food & drink stains on the linen and minor shoe damage round the bottom of the chair covers is acceptable and will not be charged for, however more serious marking such as candle wax, crayon, marker pens, burns and rips etc will be considered as damage rather than wear & tear and a replacement charge will be levied. Lycra chair covers are stretched over the chair legs and so the legs sit on the covers, we would recommend that caution is taken when used on a stone floored venue.


When will the covers be delivered?
Covers are delivered 2 days before the event to the venue, work or home address.


When we use the DIY option, when do we need to return the covers?
We usually book the courier to pick up the chair covers on the next working day after the event unless an alternative date has been agreed. We recommend collection from a home or work address to avoid collection re-charges. All pick up failures will be charged for at 30% of hire value or £35 (whichever is the lesser amount) per day plus the extra carriage charge. If you have picked up the chair covers yourself we will want them back on the next working day (usually Monday) so they can be laundered in time for the next event.


How do I order a sample?
